Jose Ochoa
Designer
Jose began his work in design researching both residential towers and community master planning for a low-income community in San Diego using both new construction and adaptive reuse. A native Californian, Jose is especially proud of his work for the L.A. Children’s Institute in Watts, which helped to create a space for education, workshops, counseling and programming for youths in the community. Other favorite projects include his work on the expansion at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, and the new City Hall and Civic Center for Sunnyvale, California. Jose holds a BA in Interior Design, and received his Master of Architecture from NewSchool of Architecture and Design. When he’s not traveling with his family, Jose loves hiking, running, backpacking and indoor climbing. Next, he hopes to take his climbing to the mountains!
